So You've Written A Book. Now What?
The title says it all.
If you are in the process of writing a book, or if you're considering it, there are dozens of things you won't know - and that you should. When I started writing, I read a lot of websites and got messages from a lot of publishers, and I thought I had a pretty good idea of what I was into. I didn't!
Every corner I turned brought more things I had never considered. And some of them were things that might have changed my direction if I had known them in advance. For instance, once the book is actually published, how will it get marketed? Think you have the answer? I challenge you to guess again.
Now I'm not the expert on everything about writing or publishing. I'll never claim to be. But what I wanted to do here was write about my experience over about ten years of writing my first novels, SANCTION, THE LESSER EVIL and COP, and the years of publishing and marketing them since, and give that to you, the aspiring author, so you might get a jump on what's in store.
Here are some chapter headings to give you an idea of what you need to know and what's in the e-book.
* Write the Very Best Book You Possibly Can
* Self-Editing
* Backmatter and the Cover
* Why Would Your Book Get Noticed?
* Publishing
* Marketing and Selling
* About Your Website
* Read It Like An Agent/Publisher
Maybe you've been doing this for a while now and know a lot about these items. I didn't - and got caught trying to find answers and find my way through the maze after I started. Again, I'm not the expert, but maybe what I have to share with you will save you a lot of the grief I had.
I wrote this simple little e-book of my experiences, what I learned and where I found answers, as a how-to book about writing, publishing and marketing books. It's over eighty pages long and will take you through the full gamut of those subjects.
If you've written a book, or are thinking about it, you owe it to yourself to get lots of information before you really get started. My e-book, So You've Written A Book, Now What?, could prove to be just the help you need.
